Taken from extremely low-yielding vines, our 2020 Queen Taken is a sophisticated Chardonnay that defies expectations. For many, it’s the icon that sets @checkmatewinery apart; for us, it’s our very own grand cru.

On the nose you get Asian pear, apricot, and a touch of spice, while the palate has layers of rich, savoury textures and notes of ripe stone fruits. The wine is both expressive and vibrant while maintaining a restraint in its minerality.

Because of its limited harvest, we reserve this varietal for our wine club members, ensuring the best bottles make their way into your homes with each shipment.
