2021 Black Rook Merlot

The low vigour, sandy soils of the Black Sage Bench provide intense fruit and aniseed flavours from sites tucked into the foothills of the Okanagan Highland.

A lifted nose of violets, aniseed, raspberry, and tobacco. The palate is lively and concentrated, and the wine has a structured and salty finish.

Fermentation: 100% wild fermentation & extended skin contact

Maturation: French oak (100% new), 20 months

2021 Little Pawn Chardonnay

A blend of two distinct parcels within the Jagged Rock Vineyard. The porous soils of the Black Sage Bench regulate the vines, which produce concentrated fruit with balance and complexity.

A vibrant nose of key lime, lychee, sage brush, and anise seed. Flavours of lemon curd, hazelnut and apricot compote excite the senses. The rich palate is balance by a mouthwatering, mineral finish.

Clonal Selection: Dijon 76, Dekleva

Maturation: 100% French Oak Barrique (61% new); 16 months in oak

2021 Knight's Challenge Chardonnay

Black Sage Bench vineyard blocks of contrasting elevations and row orientations provided an opportunity to create a unique wine.

Aromas of butterscotch, peach cobbler, melon, and white nectarine. The palate is vibrant and textural, displaying golden delicious, vanilla bean and toasted almond flavours, backed by a saline finish.

Clonal Selection: Dijon 76, Dijon 95

Maturation: 100% French Oak (64% new); 16 months in oak

Crafted: 11 Barrels
