"Displays plenty of expensive wood right off the top, with light melted butter layered on dense, ripe, plush dark fruit, immediately engaging and appealing. The palate is firm and well-extracted, with loads of structure but still polished and carefully crafted. Tannins are big and velvety, and abundant, and the finish is long. A very impressive wine to be sure, balanced and complete, a big mouthful of wine."
