The wine has essences of citrus peel, honeydew melon, white peach combined with aromas of freshly toasted brioche, rose hip, wet stone and floral notes. The palate has a generous, broad entry, rich mid-palate and good acidity providing a long, complex, textured finish.

"The aromas appeal with refreshing hints of citrus and brioche. On the palate, there is the note of white peach characteristic of the Heritage clone. The wine has a rich mid-palate texture, with a spice of minerality and with refreshing acidity."

"Queen Taken is a very different chardonnay. The aromatics are floral, but there is a richer, peachy underpinning, perhaps a result of the 35-year old vines. The wine is more floral, less wild then the Capture with wet stone and exotic flecks of ginger. Citrus marks the flavours with apricot, melon and a touch of brioche in the creamy finish."

"It sports a nicely floral, lemon and orange blossom, with pear and stony notes. It has very fine lines on the palate with great acidity and minerality. But there is also palate weight and richness, with heat on the finish. Yet very focused with excellent to outstanding length."
